i don't like to think about being over 30, but i have been for the last 40 years.
every time i think about what year it already is i just feel kind of amazed that i'm actually alive and living it.

so much that anyone not over 30 today, has never known not existing, was the stuff of science fiction when i was growing up.
that's probably the way with a lot of us.

does anyone actually subconsciously think of themselves as their actual chronological age? is it even possible to do so?

A lot of people seem to say they "still feel 17"... But I think it's more that at 17 most people are closest to their true self, as in, able to act on their true desires and impulses.. Less responsibility, obligation..

You don't still feel 17.. You still feel YOU.. An ageless, infinite, eternal being.

Since getting physically older is inevitable, I think getting over the fear of it is essential to a truly free life.

How fast (slowly) would you prefer it to pass?

Interesting question. I still think of myself as about 23 or so. I'm actually 50.

I dont know that the speed of time could be adjusted without altering the earth's rotation around the sun

Might be easier to just lengthen the amount of time? 200 years would suffice. With youth and good health being longer of course, i dont want to be elderly and in ill health when i'm 80 and then have to live 120 more years :p

Haha, funny thing about getting older is I have no idea who any of the people in pop culture are. Something about R. Kelley on the news...who the hell is that? Should I care? I was the same with that Smollet guy. Never heard of him and don't care.

They are maybe a little scary looking but they aren't very aggressive at all. The are usually slow and mellow. I had mine (14-20 or so inches) trained to hand feed because they were just so much slower than the others with them that the food would be gone in a feeding frenzy before the gar had much of a chance to get some.

Many stores sell "alligator gar" which really is one of the seven different types of gar. Those can grow 7 or 8 feet long (or more). They look really scary but there actually has never been a known attack of humans by one of them. They are very docile and usually scavenge dead fish, etc. from near shorelines. But they look scary as hell if you have one rub against your leg while wading in the water. Luckily for most people, easily less than 5% of gar sold as alligator gar are actually alligator gar. Otherwise, you would have a fast growing fish and a fast growing problem that most people aren't able to handle.
