What's Happening???

I know this may sound stupid (or IS stupid)...but how in the hell does a country ban any runes? Runes are runes and have been used since around 200AD (if I recall correctly) and the Vikings used them as writing, like their alphabet - right? I mean screw that. I like the red one, but those in the middle are a little odd to me...maybe use the middle area to write what YOU want written.

 

We average about 50 inches of snow per year. How much do you receive?

They apparently are considering banning norse runes because some of those get misused often by racists and are now seen as hate symbols. It could be they only looking into banning those particular rune symbols. But I don't think it will happen, certainly not to runes in general.
But it happened to the swastika too so who knows. In the case of the swastika its slightly more understandable of course Certainly if it resembles the nazi flag one.

 

That doesn’t make any sense, you can’t ban Norse runes.

Many hate groups have adopted the Celtic cross (and many of their members even have it tattooed on their arm) you can’t ban that either.

Its all those stay at home mothers with nothing better to do than get upset over straight line with 90* angles, as my sister would say. I think there's definitely a conspiracy at play, maybe an alien race uses certain symbology as insignias and these aliens aren't to be looked up to, so their insignia is banned. Which makes sense because then those aliens would come to the people with the tattoos for assistance.

 

I miss my sister already. the house feels a little more empty now. Dog keeps running around trying to find her. He's been a bit of a jerk to us actually, since she's been here. Back to reality now mister, no more pretend I didn't hear that commands. At the same time even after an hour, it feels normal again too, like when did my sister leave? Oh yeah like 60mins ago.

Its weird feeling.

I'm not good at saying goodbyes to loved ones, so I always start bawling.  I'll see her again in a few weeks. It was so cool seeing her again, but I can't talk about it or I tear up. so there's a realisation here that my lil sis isn't around anymore and I have to come back to reality... To HF. you know those distractions where you're like fucken hell just a little bit longer and I could break free from here.

Wife is asleep and I'm really tired, was a long night. Long but actually felt very short with the tattoo. It took 3.5hrs but to me at least it felt like 45mins lol. It looks so much better IRL too once we take the cling wrapping off it.

I agree, hence why i said i would be suprised it would become more than considering the option.
Besides, runes are also part of swedish historic culture and those historic swedish runestones are appreciated by everybody.Let them consider I say They will come to the right conclusion what's the most liberal option :-D

Mornin' folks. Start of another good day on the farm. Rainy this mornin' which means cpoler. Today was late start day so I had plenty of time this mornin' for meditation and my pseudo tai chi exercises after animal chores. Time to work.

 

I'm going to Goodwill in a few minutes because there's nothing else around in the way of thrift stores.

 

Wifey and I went out to dinner to show off her new tattoo, she got a lot of good compliments. now she's already wanting the viking girl on the opposite side. I thought it would take some time getting used to but I guess we had so many cut outs of it for 6 months it just looks normal to me.

My wife has tattoos.. Cool.

 

Was it her first tattoo? Did she handle the pain well? Is she one of those who likes the pain?

 

Oh wait, there was a tattoo below that one in the picture now that I think about it, so that answers my first question at least

 

Yeah the butterfly she got done traditional with bamboo that's why it's a little thick and old looking. It was when her mom died she got that and then she has a fairy on her foot that's not awesome either but it's cute. The tattoo yesterday in contrast looks like a photo lol. It's weeping a bit of the purple now but all is well she's just taking the after care etc.

 

The pain, she was fine with the pain. Never winced once, never frowned. She said it was stinging but just like a big Chinese burn. She's always had a high pain tolerance though and doesn't mind needles.

She laid there with a smile like "yeeeah I remember this" lol. And the artist likes the viking girl cause he does girls so he's excited. He said he'd probably book in for a full day because he likes to get the face and hair perfect. We'd somehow tie her hair into the piece she got yesterday. He's excited. She's excited.... I want one.
