I want the Canadians to win it. I think it will bring our two countries closer, for one thing. Plus, I'm just not big on Golden State. Go Raptors!

i was wondering what all that noise was coming from other people's tv's and radios.
must be over cause its all quiet now.

only reason i don't have a random orchestra plugged into my ears is so i can hear the cat when and if he wants back in.
i don't actually expect him back any time soon though. he's been staying out all night lately.

i would guess he has a girl friend somewhere, but i haven't heard them singing either.

 

Yeah but what I'm saying is that a person IS an age, so however they feel, IS how that age feels.
Saying I feel 19 is assuming that these feelings are ones that only 19 year olds feel.
And since EVERYONE seems to say they "still feel X" then it seems clear to me that the "soul" ..or "inner identify", or whatever you wanna call it, but it isn't disputable that it's there.. the ego, the whatever.. it clearly feels the same (a range of things) at all physical ages. Growing up to a certain physical age has no impact on your inner self. Which I call a soul, but that doesn't mean it's anything mystical or spiritual.

 

People are merely projecting when they say they feel an older age, more often than not, based on physical complaints and when they say they feel a younger age, it's usually selective in what respect they mean.

Like I could say I still feel 19 when I blast my music while driving down the highway but I'd be much more hesitant to like drink and smoke on a hill or take a girl to the open space now, compared to my 19 year old self, so in that sense, I don't think my current mindset would align much with my 19 year old mindset.


Conditions such as retrograde amnesia call into question this notion of "soul" as I think it's being defined here. Aside from conditions such as that, there is a continituty in consciousness for most of us which can allow us to tap into a feeling of a mindset consistent from our youth, but I think our consciousness heavily edits and "summarizes" our mindset from the past when we reflect on it.

I just think it's limiting to even consider age. Unless you're flirting with a teenage girl.

I do understand what people mean that they are feeling.. I still disagree with reinforcing the idea that age should be such a factor. I don't really FEEL any age. What we feel isn't an age.

 

Yups, we're on the same page as usual but word it differently. Technically we don't feel an age, but its often easiest described like that.
The other day i was telling someone about a new male guy i met who is roughly my age and i said boy. But I'm not a boy and neither is that guy i was talking about. When I was in my early twenties I certainly would have seen this new guy as a man. Now at first instance not. Only because I at first instance perceive myself as a boy of max. 25 (not busy with numbers but to easily give you an idea how old i generally feel )

We often come to a similar conclusion in a different way i find. But yeah, we're not always on the same page. Definitely also not polar opposites though!
