i always pronounce it fuah-lawful, or full-awful. my greek friend at the time didn't laugh at me so i guess i got it close enough.
also my iranian born friend who puts yogurt on it. well its been years, even decades since i've seen either of them,
and almost as long since the last time i had any.

when i lived in portland oregon in the 80s there were a lot of kind of greek and middle eastern fast food kind of places.
not franchises, but not like fancy resteraunts either, more like mcdolmas without the formica.

I took Willow to the emergency vet twice today.

They kept him tonight. I just got home.

    He could die.

    Nobody knows.

Just hoping a phone call doesn't come tonight saying they lost him while they were working on him.

I'm just beyond out of my mind with sadness and weeping.

I slept for 3 hours and didn't have a phone call from the vet.

He said no new is good news during the night and that he'd call me this morning before his shift ends.

I'm up getting ready to take the oldest granddaughter to the doc for a TB test she needs for school/sports.

I found that the vet had left a voice mail because my phone signal is bad and the phone didn't ring on my end.

    Willow is still alive.

The middle lobe of his right lung is "consolidated", which I looked up and found to mean full of something besides air.

The vet said it could be pneumonia or cancer but given Willow's younger age, 4 years old, he would think pneumonia possibly from an aspiration.

He is going to have a radiologist look at Willow's images and then get back to me.

I gave Willow his name because he had such a strong Will to live when he was a kitten that I bottle fed as part of a litter of six. All his siblings died in the first 2 weeks of life and though he got very sick and we thought we were losing him, he came back several times because of that strong will to live.

So I've always wanted to be a foster parent
But it's one of those things I've always put off because I was too young and then my son was too young and then there was a lot of stuff going on etc
But I filled out an application on a whim a few weeks ago and was contacted by a caseworker today
So I guess the process has officially started
    Feeling nervous
