What's Happening???

My neighbor across the street plays bagpipes from her front porch.

Normally I don't like bagpipes, but she plays them quite well.

 

I'm seeing a dietitian. It wouldn't kill me to ask her about a keto-based diet and see what she says. We'll see if I remember though. I am a little reluctant though because I'm pretty happy with what I eat when I'm not cheating, lol.

 

The key (besides mastery of the one playing) is not standing right next to it.

Across the street sounds like a great step in the right direction :-D

 

It's cool. You'll feel like a real predator. It appeals to my inner shark "fin"atic (hahahaha see what I did there?)

But in all seriousness, it's not even about weight loss for me. I just feel so much better...keto, Paleo, low/no carb--whatever you call it--i think is how nature intended us to eat. I just feel amazing.

Have to watch my beer intake though

 

I just learned this new internet buzz-jargon today. Or what you would call a cultural signifier. I don't know. Anyway it's 'virtue signalling'. Kind of like when you make lame assed excuses for people who don't know any better by extolling their intrinsic worth because they are 'so and so' this or have a particular failing but because of their intrinsic value, by virtue of being a particular ethnicity or other 'disadvantage', we must automatically respect them and validate them above ourselves. I'm not talking about disabled people or those with SEVERE mental illness, I'm just talking about people who just can't be bothered to make an effort or improve themselves. I may sound brutal here but that's just because as a white middle class British male I get the sense everything is supposed to be my fault, that I am culturally irrelevant and largely despised. So yeah all the Eastern Europeans and Muslims hate us but they still want to come here right?

Sorry I really am a nice person and would help anyone in the moment but I have my limits.

Taking the kids and sig others to a Sushi place to spend some power washer money. (I don't like Sushi--they do)

 

They promised me that the joint had OTHER type food---we'll see.

 

This thread is making me want sushi and vegetable tempura.

Scratcho, most Japanese restaurants have food other than sushi. If you're a steak guy, they even have some really tender beef

 

Thanks------more a veggie guy tho-----but got to have my dead bird on Thanksgiving. And chicken tacos sometimes. I went to a slaughterhouse once to view the operation------that was REALLY difficult to see.

 

There's usually fresh salads with ginger dressing, and chicken and steak hibachi choices, with veggies, if you're not into raw fish.

 

Veggie tempura and rice is where it is at then

Especially the sweet potato. My God...

It's Sunday. It's the one day of the week where blowing off responsibilities is socially acceptable. I'm listening to music in my pajamas--which is just underwear and a t-shirt. It's Sunday. All bets are off.

Responsibilities can wait till tomorrow.

 

If only. I have 3 assignments for school due tonight by midnight :/ The class is online so the professor had the cruel idea of making all assignments due Sunday. It really ruins weekends for a procrastinator like me
