After 3 hours in Atlanta traffic with all the hurricane flee-ers, and all the power companies going down to help, I finally got home with my Dell computer. It runs Windows 7. I'm moving up in the world.

 

I remember that traffic.

 

It was bad and hubby's stomach was sick and let loose in the car. Worst trip ever.

 

I heard "Irminsul" does this to a few haha.

 

Taco Bell is killing my stomach. It's been 8 hours and the acid reflux feels like razor blades.

 

Taco Bell is not food...

 

Kinda miss the review job. And sometimes not really, having to drive somewhere I really don't want to go for $100 and some crappy food. I really thought I can make something of it with the $50 extra free food if they give away and nobody seemed to want it so fuck it.. I ain't going out of my motherfucker why theyto make somebody eat some McNuggets you know saying..

 

Anything but McNuggets.

The last time I ate MacNuggets I felt like I was eating an embryo.

I had that same experience with Taco Bell...the farts have just begun.

 

starting yesterday and through sunday is the annual great bbq cookoff over in sparks, the town next door.
this year i may skip it entirely though. too expensive, too broke, and almost no teeth left.
i could of course still have the pulled pork though.
its a whole bunch of bbq resteraunts set up their portable kitchens outside with live music and other kinds of vendoers too.
but mostly its all about ribs and pulled pork.
and i guess people vote for which ones they like the best. except its too expensive for anyone to sample enough of them to vote fair.
and i doubt it really means anything except whoever wins gets to put in on their big silly signs next time.

 

I feel you. People ruin everything wanting too much money!

 

Showing my ignorance here but If restaraunts are kerbside bbqing to attract future business don't they cook stuff for free handouts? No better way to pull a happy punter in than the remembrance of a freebie. Winners signs don't feed you

 

fisherman turned up again this morning, this time not wasted
and has decided he is in fact not keen on the idea of me leaving. i'm a bit amazed because i thought the chance of that realisation had passed.
at the same time it feels like, well of course, this is what you knew all along. it feels kinda right so... will proceed with caution.
still going to convert the horsebox and go to nz alone. go slow.
but yeah. that's what's happening.

 

that would be too logical. this 'merica' we're talkin about. and they come from all over the country to set up for this. every labour day weekend.
customers are mostly regional, from within a couple hundred miles or less, but some of the vendors come from more then a thousand.

you'd think they'd be at least super discounted, but nope, a so called 'sample plate' (three ribs and all the house specialty sauce you care to drown them in)
is about the same as what you'd normally pay any day of the week at a mcfastfoodz, (which is more then a fiver any more) thought the quality IS much higher.

the live stage is free though, never heard of any of the bands, but you can hear them twelve blocks away.
its all about the kind carny atmosphere i guess.
