I've heard of "Tool" and James Maynard Keanes. I'm not a fan of that type of music but to each their own. Although it is funny that I listen to The Sex Pistols now and again. Those lads couldn't play well nor could Johnny (Rotten) sing but damn they were fun to watch.

Things is really rough right now. We got some bad news about my older brother....

He died about a week ago and I've been taking it really hard.

 

I'm home sick today and I've been binging netflix for like 6 hours eeshdhhdhdjdjd I'm starting to drive myself a little crazy but I dont have the energy to move from this couch

And I'm really craving peach cobbler, someone make me a peach cobbler

Oh no, that's terrible! I know the condolences from a stranger on the internet aren't much comfort at a time like this, but as someone who has three siblings, I must stop in my day and tell you how sorry I am for your loss.

I never got the Sex Pistols. I understand that the punk rock aesthetic was to be the antithesis of rock music (think bands like Queen, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Rush, etc.), but I felt the Pistols took it to the extreme. To me, seminal bands like The Clash (Jesus Christ, especially The Clash), The Dammned, The Ramones, and the Buzzcocks embodied the punk aesthetic.

Like, I understand that punk rock was an oppositional reaction to 70s classic rock, but I felt the Sex Pistols were more a parody of it.

Sorry. I'm punk to the core. I could discuss this stuff all day.

The Pistols were imo taking the piss out of the music industry. A gut reaction to The Beatles or the Stones if you will. The Clash was a good band. I really liked "London Calling". I don't think they (The Pistols) took themselves seriously. Sid couldn't play the bass. I do kind of like Public Image Lmt by the way. The Ramones were good as well.

 

I'm calling it a night on the listing.

Now for some food and some television.

 

The Sex Pistols were honestly making an effort at being a band. They should have never gotten rid of Glen Matlock, of course. Nevermind the Bullocks is classic, and what I wouldn't give for a second album. Not now, I mean, but back in the day. They had a totally unique sound, which was derived from the mix of Paul and Steve trying to be rock stars, Glen writing the actual riffs, and Johnny just being incorrigible. I never get tired of the Sex Pistols.

I also wish that I would get really, really sick...deathly ill. I hope I do.
