Last picture of me was at the car dealership when I bought my truck. All the guitar gear photos are the ones from the eBay listing.

My digital camera broke, sometimes it might work, most times not, so I don't even try anymore.

My sister also doesn't have a cell phone...

have you considered getting a cheap, "stand alone" digital camera, that isn't part of a phone, and doesn't have to connect to anything to use it?
(and these are easier to transfer images from directly over a usb wire to your drive on your computer,
they also run off of a pair of double a batteries that you can carry several sets of spares in you pocket, and buy them cheaply by the bunch almost everywhere)

Even more so only rings true if you have stuff like location on and aren't as anonymous as you can be. And how can a smart phone be more invasive than a guy listening to everything you said while Alexa or Siri is active (not only voice commands)?

Not the smart phone specifically maybe, but anytime you download almost any app you have to give it permission to access your microphone in order to use it. Facebook of course springs to mind, if you've ever seen an ad on facebook for something you've only discussed outloud and have not searched for online you know this is true. But there are a ton of other apps out there that require access to your mic as well.

If you have no apps on your phone good for you lol but that defeats the purpose of a smart phone so I doubt you dont have any apps. Therefore they're listening to you too ;)

And this may not be a worry in your country but in the US it has been proven that members of the intelligence community have accessed the microphones and cameras of US citizens' cell phones.

i've lived without dragging a phone around with me most of my life. i'm happy to do so now and save the cost of using and having one.
some day if i ever have a larger margine between rent and income, i MAY get another phone, but like dentistry, its something i can think of more fun ways to spend,
even just like eating healthier. a new gpu card to run the current upgrade to the cg tools i use, or even an upgraded place to live.

I don't depend on Netflix lol, I just like it. I also use my fire stick for youtube to listen to music

Also, just as a side note. Television and film, such as the content on netflix, isnt all mindless. Television and film can also be mediums for art and I very much like to consume art

    this is certainly true,
    but
i prefer to participate in communicating concepts visually, rather then being passively entertained by someone else doing so.

the weakness of television and film, is unless you're employed in that industry, all you can do with them is consume.
(and that can be a psychological addiction, which happened to my mother, because at the time, it was pretty much the only avenue of escape available to her.
personal computers and the internet hadn't come along yet, and by the time they did, she was past wanting to learn and understand new things, as was my father,
which is i hope a point i never reach)

not to mention how complete a picture of how you live can be assembled by compiling all the metadate collected by the internet of things,
which leaves us with two choices; accept that it will be, or don't connect to it

I enjoy Netflix too and you really don't need a firestick or Alexa to use it properly.

I dont really think it's any more passive than going to an art museum and consuming art there that others have created. Art is meant to be shared with others and just because you passively consume one form of art doesnt mean you arent actively creating it in other areas.

I do agree people can develop an unhealthy addiction to television if they dont have much else going on in their lives

well you do get to walk, drive, or ride public transit to get there. same with a book store or a library.
i'm just saying art doesn't have to be a spectator sport, people can participate in it. and it doesn't have to be great master level to share imagination and ideas.

and that's the whole point (at least to me) of this internet, (for ordinary every day people) to be able to participate and share.

Of course a lot of people engage in passive consumption on the internet too

You won't get an argument out of me that people should participate in art though. I strongly believe the creation of art is essential for a healthy and well balanced soul :)
