Was just at friends 30th now going to movies for lunch :)

  2. That's definitely the one I won't celebrate

  3. Anyways, went to visit my grandmother today.
Got stuck for like 50 minutes on the road because they're demining that area.
War ended over 20 years ago and minefields are still a huge problem.
    So that kind of sucks.

that is hard to imagine that there are still active/live mines

  5. If you find it hard to imagine that - consider yourself lucky

Let's be happy there were no landmines during the civil war or we'd probably still be having this issue.

    19th century warfare ftw

Eloise--what is the weather like in Croatia in November? I know that is a very broad question...maybe what is the weather like in Zagreb vs. one of the southern coastal cities.

I should start meditating regularly again. I feel dumb talking about it and even doing it, but it does help me pay attention to what is going on in my head and to recognize when my mood is starting to dip or rise too much.

I think the benefits of meditation are unquestionable, eggsprog. It's a real shame that there seems to be a weird stigma about it.

  13. Cold, wet and rainy, crisp. Reeeaaallyyy cold nights. That beautiful cold wind
    Usually no snow in November.

Coast - eh, maybe somewhat warmer. Windy. But air feels really fresh.

You coming for a visit? :)

I am trying to find a travel destination for November or late December. That isn't freezing or too expensive. I feel like Croatia is underrated.

  16. Zagreb's been voted the best Christmas market for three times in a row now. We're going for number four. Just saying.
It's smaller than Vienna for example, but equally nice, and you know - less people.

It's cold but it's not that freezing in November or December. Usually not too snowy either.

Don't know if you have travel partners already but I'd tenatively go with some set plans. I'd like to leave the US before turning 35. :D

At a beer can release. Got here early but misplaced my licence. I had my old licence in my car. They said they won't except it. Got in line anyway, way after a few hundred people were here. And the guy called me out for having a fake license but gave me a wrist band anyway. But I got here so late that I don't know if what I want will be around when my number is called.

I woke twice and went right back to bed after going to pee.

It seems like 3 hours is all I can get out of myself for sleep in one stretch right now.

This leaves me feeling oh, so sleepy!

Now that my hip is starting to feel a little better and it's a little cooler out, I'll try getting in a few walks during the day. Maybe that will straighten me out.
