Malcolm McDowell was very convincing as Caligula, almost on a par with John Hurt’s performance as Caligula in I, Claudius

I have a married friend who's going through some shit right now. I have tons of married acquaintances on Facebook and such, and I always envied them. Not anymore. Things are going south for her and she's only been married 6 months. The trouble started right after the wedding.

Kind of glad the partner and I are taking our time. I know her and who she is but it's always better to be safe than sorry and have to go through a messy divorce.

I rarely get fast food but I'm not a fan of the crunch wrap. At least in the location I've been to. They put less than a tablespoon of meat in it and the rest is lettuce and globs of sour cream, and the way they fold it I get like one or two bites of meat and then dry, stale tortilla and nothing else, and sour cream shoots into my mouth. Gross lol

And yet they always skimp on the cheese. I'll make my own tacos, thank you.

Yep. I love Malcolm McDowell, especially in A Clockwork Orange, but Caligula is one movie I couldn't get through. Sex and blood and violence I can take, but it has to have more to it than that. Caligula was just boring to me. If you're going to have a boring story, at least make it good enough to masturbate to.

I saw Caligula in the theater when it first came out. It wasn't boring in that setting.

I think even average movies are better in a cinema environment. One movie I'd love to see on big screen is T2, but I know when they do it, that will only be the theatrical release, and I can't watch that, it's gotta be the ultra ultimate special edition.

I also would love to see The Neverending Story on big screen. Our cinema in town about once a month or so puts on oldschool movie nights and I've been able to catch some of my classic favourites on the big screen that I couldn't on the 80s and early 90s. :)

yeah, people don't always get the british way of talking to each other. nothing like sitting there talking to a buddy of yours and his fiance says 'oh do die quietly, love.'

nothing, so long as you've been exposed to the british humor before. if you haven't, it sounds right cheeky. :tongueclosed:
