    A couple of hours ago, I found a stick bug on my doormat but it wasn't well. I think it got stepped on. I moved it to under a chair but I think it was going to die.

    Possibly a male... They die soon after mating. There is probably a female close by ready to lay eggs, she will die soon after that... Same as the one I found the other day and moved off my chair. There was a dying male on my front stoop about 6 feet from that chair that I noticed first.

    It's the egg casing that survives the winter.

    Oh...I feel like we stepped on it because there was alot of in and out that door for a few hours before I found it.

    Speaking of Bugs, I learned that Queen Termites can live up to 50 years... That seems like a ridiculously long time for an insect to live and I do not envy the person(s) that have to do the research to discover this information.
