Do you feel compelled to make a mountain out of your mashed potatoes now?

 

This is the movie scene that got me as a kid. Salem's Lot, from I think 1979. My grandmother of all people let me watch it. I couldn't go near the windows at night for weeks! Hell, it still gives me the chills.

 

I remember Radiohead on their last tour wrote an apology letter out to fans due to this. I like how EDM festivals do it, they usually have Tiers where the ticket prices will go up for each tier that sells out but it's generally only like $15-30 more. For whatever reason, this seems to limit the scalping effect. But maybe some of it has to due with the fact that it's usually only GA and VIP tickets rather than assigned seating.

 

Movies aren't nearly as scary when you put them on mute.

 

I was floored the last time I checked Fleetwood Mac tickets...something like $1,000 each.

I still remember the theme music. It's positively silly.

Long story short, today was an emotional rollercoaster, and I'm doing better tonight than I was earlier.

I saw this cup yesterday and thought of it this morning as I forgot to put a coffee cup in the Keurig, while the coffee was being made. It's one of those mornings, LOL!

I went for a walk to CVS this morning to pick up some shtuff, and then I think I will meander to the art festival in the next town over. It's a cute little sea side fest, so I think it will be a nice way to spend a summer afternoon.

 

This is what the drive to my house looks like. That last hill is the reason that I have a 4x4 also; it gets treacherous out here with snow/ice.

 

No news. Just...dealing with it.

Problem is, I'm an absolute control freak. And I was basically told I won't be able to control myself. It's a lot to take in. But yesterday when the sky didn't fall, I realized I felt a little better.
