I didn't mean to come across as though I had a bad attitude. Apart from socks, underwear, and miscellaneous reptile supplies, I haven't purchased anything new for over a year.

And sheets. I bought new sheets recently. Well, my husband paid for them, which still counts.

All done on my end shopping.

Just finished my creative xmas gift a few days ago, wrote a 28 line poem and put it on a 13 X 17 stretched canvas print.

    My new bunny enclosure. :)
Just a little DIY work project. Turned out pretty suave.
So we managed to get a shade cloth around the back half, UV roof on the top, 6 tiles to keep cool in summer months. He's got a pipe run and his cat jumping box. I'll put another box in there when I get one from the store. He loves it though, he can reach at the other bunny and it's seemed to really perk the other bunny up, Byron. He used to be so shy, now he's out and jumping aorund. New smells etc. but also still good to see.

Chase can see him but can't get near him in his pen, this seems to have frustrated him, he's a bit grumpy. He just has to deal with it though. Just can't put 3 bucks in a pen, disaster awaits.

All up, no lies, we easily spent 150€ putting that together. The UV roofing wasn't cheap, the pen was around half the cost though I suppose.

And we can see 100% of this hutch inside the kitchen :D so we can always look at him :) he's also noticed we are there and sits and waits for us then dances a bit until we come out.

Ty, he's the best. :) you're new, so I can give you details. He was my indoor bunny for about 9 months but we went camping for two weeks so we had to move him outside under the table and now we need the table for Xmas so we build him a new pen.

There was just so much freedom with him out of the house. No more open and close doors behind, no more waiting for him to bounce away before we open the door but most important, no more humping, because that stuff hurts when they claw the back of your leg to hold on. Lol.

I have 3 pens. One we got 4 years ago that I built on and built on. It holds Byron my black bunny, though he's started to turn maroon in areas. Then I pretty much built the exact same pen as you see for Chase, as him and Byron would only fight so I needed a new pen and now we make one for Axalta lol.

As much as I love them, these might be our last as I want a cat next. A mane coon or Scandinavian forest cat. Folks try to tell me otherwise about that cat but whatever, I want to try it. I've socialised a German Shepherd to not attack rabbits. In fact, they play with him and he plays with them. If I can do that with an animal that cannot be trained (rabbit) then I can easily manage a cat I feel. It would be inside mostly I think. Cause we need a lisence and registration to have outdoor cats where I live. I also don't want it running away from me, as that, would hurt my feelings.

As with most things in life I learn over the years, just don't tell no one nothing. All you get is negativity from people. Can't keep cats and rabbits and dog? I'll give it a go and I will be successful at it also.

I thought she had the best attitude! Can't say I've given up buying new things... but I have entirely abandoned the present buying aspect of xmas time.

Well that is fine for you to keep on doing, but don't imply that I am disrespecting my family because I do something different.

My family and I have agreed to stop buying presents from now on and it is a relief; no more figuring out what to get, fighting crowds at the mall, wrapping them up, what if they don't like 'em, blah blah blah. From now on we're just getting together and enjoying each others company. And gluttonizing ourselves.

  12. Yeah we don't really do Christmas gifts in my family either.
There is really nothing disrespectful about it, not everyone is the same.

I haven't celebrated Christmas in ten years man. Got to say I agree.
Remember back when I owned a rabbit. He loved to piss on people when he got excited, so one time we had 4 kids come over to pet him. Pa got him out of the cage, aimed him, & the rabbit did the rest
Glad to hear P. Not that I was worried. You're too strong to let that shit kick your ass.
    Seems reasonable

You're rather rude. I don't do xmas gifts anymore.. I love my family and love life, in general. Sorry if that shatters your worldview.

something about a "lass" though. I kinda like it. :p
like, a babe or a slut or something, you know, they're gonna be hot...
but a lass?? well that opens up every avenue. a lass.. most likely good looking still. i dunno
    gimmie a lass :D

real long hair i reckon. possibly red hair.
sounds Irish. my wife gets referred to as Lass when people know that.
    Is my wife a lass?
    I'mma go ask her. :)

if I want to refer to her as a lass I am more than welcome :p

I think of lass as meaning "child" ...

As in "when she was just a wee lass" ...scottish

But we call women "baby", so.. same thing

She told me "girl". Well I don't care, I have myself an Irish Lass of 34 years old. :D

I'm hopeless at Irish accents. I probably sound more Texan than I do Irish. :tearsofjoy:
