I'm not really worried about turning 30 or getting older in general, I figure the older I get the less of a fuck I'll give and I'm really looking forward to that. One thing that makes me apprehensive about 30 is that it just sounds so grown up but I've always acted like a big kid. I feel like I'll feel pressured to actually act my age..or maybe that is where not giving a fuck will come in handy.
To mark your age by the passing years is a fallacy of the young, while your body may age your soul will grow younger if you learn to value the present more than the future or past.
When I turned 30, I was married with 2 kids. I did kind of feel like I was older and couldn't do some of the same things that the 25 year olds were doing, but then I turned 40 and said fuck it, I'll do whatever I want.
I sailed by 30 just fine. For some reason my 32nd birthday was a really bad day but I got past that as well. Getting older is only problematic if you focus on your age. Just live each day as it comes. The only problem with getting old is losing your loved ones. That can be really hard.
Hi Specs- Yeah your right of course ,of all the things that come with being twice as old as 30-> - Loosing friends and family is a tough one-
Being 30 is no different from 29, except that everybody under 30 starts thinking you're irrelevant and uncool.
