considering i have received reputation from the same people within a couple months, which seems like not a lot of time to have to wait to rep someone again.

i would say its pretty dumb to neg someone for something as mundane as posting about kayaking.
plus probably against the rules, considering the whole purpose of reputation is to encourage people to make helpful or interesting posts, and to discourage posts that are irrelevant or spam or whatever.
neither of which were my intentions, obviously, as i was seeking advice.
