whats the longest amount of time you've gone without sleep?

I like sleep far too much to function without it, so, at the most, two days.

These thread makes me think of that Pete & Pete episode where the younger Pete tries to break the world record for days without sleep.

I miss that show...

almost 4 days.

nightmare trip from hell car broke down etc and although I had an opportunity to sleep.... whenever I'm in public it just doesn't happen... public being a parking lot with nobody around.

end of 2nd day being up I had to drive through a horrible thunderstorm in an unfamiliar car... while dozing off. Of course I can sleep WHILE driving, but I sure as hell can't sleep when parked in all but a few select (who knows why I pick them) spots.

 

5 days on an end of season soccer trip...only stimulant was alcohol.

About 3.5 days.

Due to my height, I can't get comfortable on a Greyhound bus. I was on the verge of seeing stuff too. Totally exhausted.

That was about 25 years ago, but it still makes me wrinkle my brow to think about it.

7 days due to insomnia, jet lag, and a heart arrhythmia problem. Oh the good ole' times...

Maybe 36-48 hours. I am in love with sleep.

I awoke one morning in the arms of my soft body pillow. I was so pleased and overwhelmed with joy that I asked it to marry me, right then and there. But the thing just laid there cool, sullen and unresponsive.

*cries*

My heart is broken.

 

I find being extremely exausted akin to a potent indica.

Then again I see stuff all the time.

 

3 days.. but i was in labor. and by the time i had her and was completely sleep deprived i was seeing the fruit pattern on the chair smiling and waving and dancing towards me

 

3 days for no reason, just happened, i have met a guy that was up for well over a week a i can't remember exactly, could have been 2...

 

2 days, maybe 3. i think one time i even got to 4 days... or 3 1/2. idk, i dont do any shit drugs and weed makes me sleepy so yeah i dont stay up for long periods of time. also i have fatigue so icouldnt if i wanted to :/

 

nine days. and i worked 20 hours each of the first seven of them. got boquit double time though. enough to quite and buy a boat and live on it for most of a year. along with spending a couple of months riding arround on a greyhound buss.

not that any of this was voluntary either. i just happened to be working in heavy equipment when a bunch of bombs when off in the rail yard where i was working, and we had to get things moving again as quickly as we could. this was in 73 and everyone but everyone including contractors brought in to help too, from the top brass on down, did this.

i doubt if i'd live litterally if i had to do that again today.
