what's your favorite cheap food?

    chicken wings at bars man. some places have 10 cent wing night. some have 25 cent wings. so delicious

    Tuna, cereal, and pb&j. I love tuna though.

    mac and cheese, rice & salsa, eggs & salsa, spaghetti, anything noodly..pb&j, bagels w/ cream cheese..toast..i can live off toast. i also like rice all sorts of dishes you can make with minute rice lol:)

    well i don't think any food's realy cheep anymore.
    my basic is noodles, any kind of pasta, in a light broth.

    rice is ok too of course. and the occasional baked potatoe.

    and of course i'm refering to cooked myself.

    about the only thing you can get already cooked for you that comes anywhere near my idea of cheep, and it's been long enough since i've had one that i'm not even all that certain if they still are, is those hotdogs and the gas station mini-marts, especialy the ones with the condiment bar where you can put as much as you want of whatever they have there on it.

    i guess the next cheepest thing that's really gratifying is 20% hamberger. that is the kind that says "does not exceed 20% fat content". when it's on special. for $1.99 a pound. which isn't all that often anymore either.

    fresh veggies are often a good deal. free and nearly free, and from your own garden where you know the're real, is probably the best deal.

    our landlord gives us a number of things like that and i usualy chop them into the noodles and broth.

    rice and gravy is good, but the gravy fixins aren't always cheep. although they can be streatched pretty good.
