subway does have good cookies. at quizno's they have really good chocolate chip cookies the bonus is, is that you can have them heat them up.......just like right outta the oven.
fitzy, they're essentially the same programs, but the organisations (and the cookies!) have some differences. what i understand to be girl guide chocolatey mint cookies: i assume cholate covered chocolate cookie with mint creme. girl scout thin mint cookies: {i can find no pictures to demonstrate this, but unlike the girl guide chocolatey mint the thin mints have no creme filling, but are chocolate covered chocolate/mint flavored cookies}
I dont really eat there much, but the sandwiches in my opinion are way different than Subway. They dont have all the veggies like subway does and they just about toast everything. you should try it it.
better quality than subway in general terms. better meats, better veggies, fresher, better bread. somewhat more hearty toppings...a little meatier, less lettuce usually. everything is toasted, and run through an actual oven. very much like a pizza oven. the only downside is in my experience its cooked hot but fast, and has failed to maintain heat until i reached home. at jersey mikes i've gotten phillies and they cook the meat to serve. its piping hot when i get it, and i've driven 20 minutes with a philly and when i bit into it it was too hot to eat right away.... quiznos is good, filling, and if you plan to eat it right away you get a hot, toasted sandwich. eat it later and its cold, but still quite toasted. it is a little expensive. i recommend a veggie sub on wheat (veggie is cheaper, good, and just as filling with way less fat) with no mushrooms and spicy mustard instead of the red wine vinagrette jersey mikes is better all around, though given what i get in both locations it's also way worse for me. i dont like subway very much, but it can do in a pinch
I have never heard of Jersey Mikes.....its that a franchise too? Kind of like a subway/quizno's type thingy?
Quiznos sounds like my sort of thing. A lot more gourmet than subway. Its in a really sleazy area though, I would feel guilty walking down the street with a steaming hot sandwich in front of all those sex workers and bums.
its a franchise, but not huge. i guess they dont have them in my current home (bloomington, indiana) but they're all over the place in the columbus area in ohio. a nasty, greasy, delicious and entirely fulfilling philly from jersey mikes: i'd kill for one right now. piping hot, dripping melted cheese and beef juice.....soft, hot bread.....warm onions and peppers....... i could cry
last night i thought I smelled sugar cookies. weird... my favorite are orange, oreos, and fig newtons.
I can't really dig on industrial cookies. Carmel Delights are ok. And at least the girl scouts, unlike the boyscouts, aren't a hate group. :biggrin: I agree with Fitzy. Cookies are about love.
Forget Jersey Mikes, it's all about a REAL Philly cheesesteak, GENOS or PATS. Oh and I like Oatmeal Raisin cookies
