Good morning, got it. But there are many other confusions. For instance governments often come with the argument that DST saves energy. There are studies showing that the energy saving effect is a tale. Some studies show that the opposite effect occurs: energy consumption goes up during DST. Computers and other machines have to deal with the jumps in time, trains etc. have to stop for an hour. If you think about it you will find dozens of examples showing the downsides of DST. And -to try to make this thread more on-topic- men are humans, too . They have feelings and hormons and that whole stuff. After changing the time back or forth the production of hormons is messed for some week. Productivity might decrease. So why can't we abandon DST? We can do it in Europe as a whole or even a single country can do it without effecting the others that want to stick with DST. Good guys. Hihi, you know it's summer in London if the fog becomes warmer . Regards Gyro PS: Wonder how raz had used her 'additional' hour?
The usual reasons given here are that either it means extra daylight for the farmers [may have been true up to the 1950s, but...] or to make it safer for kids going to school. Neither of which are really convincing. Very true - it always takes my rhythms a week or two to settle down after the clocks go back. Not just humans... I have to try to convince my cat that it's not dinnertime yet. He is not convinced...its dark = feed time. He also ajudsts after a couple of weeks, though. Ah, but you know the British public...if Europe is doing it, we wont. Best way may be to tell us we cant abandon it - that should do the trick.
I was asking for the date when you change your clock dick..... and it was answered by the third post. SO why the fack did you post here?
