ok my wife hit a very early menopause in her 30's today were mid 50's
we got together about 7 years ago. and were at it like rabbits our sex life was fantastic . turns out she has never been that keen but was making the effort (sadly) a small stroke last year has all but killed it. pills are out of the question as effect the blood pressure wish I could find the answer. oh no kids at home

 

I think it would slow down only if one or both partners slow down and from what I heard, yes kids do slow it down some but only because of time limits and such. I don't have kids so I wouldn't really know but could imagine. Us kids must have slowed my parents down I am sure, we were busy kids, got sick now and then and had to have their time for things we needed to do.
This might be one of the reasons. I didn't want kids, that and my lifestyle IMO just wasn't a good place for kids. I knew I would want to be on the move and do things that might leave a kid dragging behind me so I chose not to put a kid there.
I have to admit I have been with several men, short and some long relationships and such but never with more then one at a time and each time I was with a new guy there was reason to see more wanting then less. I think because it was different. I know if I am starved of my right to sex I might actually dump a guy for someone more active, never really had to leave anyone over lack of sex.
If age slows me down later then I guess that might happen but I can't see it happening and I hope it won't. I am more active myself then I was at 20, at least I think I am.
There is also the possibility of letting it become routine with no adventure. Just keep it interesting and you might be a horny old man or woman of 80 or better. Good luck.

 

IM in my early 60's..and my wife and I still go like it like bunnies. When does it wane?

As some of you know, I'm in a new romantic relationship. I'm 62 yrs old. She is 53. Because we live 20 miles apart, we have been seeing each other twice a week, but on the weekend I've been sleeping over one or two nights. We've been having tons of sex. Last Saturday, I showed up around 11 am and we were so horny we went straight to bed. I actually managed to cum twice in an hour, surprising both of us. I think she had four O's herself. And that was just the first of the five rounds that weekend.

Health issues or injuries are the most common reasons why a sex life wanes (based on my research) and this can happen at any age. Sex doesn't have to end just because you get older, and that's obvious by many of the comments here by older people. Sometimes sex can even slow down or even stop for a while, until the health issues are addressed and then come back. A lot of it is attitude. If you believe you are too old (or too sick) for anything, including sex, you will be right. But if you approach it with an open mind, with a playful attitude and a willingness to learn new things, guess what? It can be just as hot as when you were younger. Maybe even more so.
