7-11 is a franchise it's name and and some of the products are owned by a corporation , but the location and profit belong to a individual entity.

So you stole $1 worth of candy, who cares, it's not the weed, people steal all the time. I steal lighters all the time just because I know I'm gonna lose it within 4 days probably so why pay for it. Or the big groccery stores, who here hasn't stolen from them, cigarettes, food, DXM. I had a friend that use to go into Stop n Shop, load up his cart with beer and walk out, end of story, he did it like 7x before he was finally caught, and ironically when he was caught he had no beer and was only doing it with food.

I do dislike Walmart, and I don't shop there... all I'm saying is that there are positives and negatives. Walmart is not such an evil as it is projected to be. Lots of lower-income families can actually afford to feed their kids because of Walmart's existence.

Anyhow... sweatshop labour in foreign countries is actually a good thing, believe it or not. Those people would not have jobs at all if it wasn't for Walmart sweatshops. I've been to plenty third world countries, and I've seen many lines of people eager to be able to get into the shop in order to make enough money to feed their family. It's better than having kids begging for money on the street (the other alternative). I do think that conditions could be improved in sweatshops, and they are constantly being improved over time.

This is all that really needs to be said.
Stealing something small from a store is not going to hurt anyone but yourself, because if it becomes a habit, someday you may have a change of heart and have a hard time accepting your previous behaviour. It's just as likely that you will never care, but you never know
As a young teenager, I was stealing everyday, and I dont mean candy. In my life, I've probably stolen somewhere around $15,000 in straight cash, not to mention all of the drug dealers my friends and I have jumped, taking ounces of herb at a time, cocaine, heroin, etc. I never gave one shit who I was hurting and the temptation grew and grew.
Now, I would give away my every material possesion before I would steal one thing. And I am very sorry and ashamed for my actions in my youth. I have dealt with a very bad life since then, and some may call it coincedince, some may call it karma, it really doesnt matter. The truth is that if you play with fire you will get burned.

im sorry, i usually agree with your statements, but this isnt true. walmart does not make a "competitive market" it lowers its prices untill otherbusinesses have to lower prices and eventually have to close, then the prices rise in walmart. all walmart does is take subsidies from the government to creat a state sponsered monopoly.

    You're right.

But people seem to exagerrate the "local business" closing part a bit. Walmart does not close all local business. Actually, it usually creates more jobs than it displaces.

Yet, as you guys pointed out... I shouldn't be defending Walmart in the first place. I was just trying to point out that there are two sides to every coin in order to support the fact that stealing from Walmart isn't really excused by the fact that they're pure fucken satan. As I said, some people depend on Walmart's cheap prices in order to get by. It also makes many products which were previously unavailable to people available practically everywhere. Hell, they even let you camp in their parking lot over night without charging you.

Sadly enough, we live in an age of monopolies and multinational corporations. It's a tad too late to stop that. All one can do is shop at local stores, the farmer's marker, and so on.

I have some money right now, so I try to buy my groceries from smaller stores, but even those stores are still chains.

Pot enhances inhibitions, remember? That's what paranoia is. It doesn't impair judgment unless you use being high as an excuse to be irresponsible. Don't blame the pot for a bad decision. It wasn't even that big a deal to begin with.

I know a guy that used to work at Walmart and he wants to get me a job there. I'm tempted, because he says it's much sweeter than people really know. I'd make pretty good money. I'm making $6.35 an hour part time right now. But I hate Walmart. I never shop there, I don't like to shop there. I like the small chains. I work at a small chain and I love it. It's so much more personal. I know all my customers, some by name. I know what they smoke and what they buy, how they usually pay, and even a little bit about their personal lives. I'm afraid I'd lose a little of that at Walmart. Plus, how the hell am I going to learn where everything is? It's too big. I would hate it there.
I hate it when life poses choices between what you like and money you sure could use.

back on topic, right. I really don't think you can put stealing candy down to being high, suzieQ. chances are you would have done it anyway. why even go into a 711 in the first place if you were broke, anyway?

I steal shit all the time. I steal dumb shit like sushi lol. Stealing has nothing to do with weed.

I've stolen these few items from Woodmans:

    Sushi :D
    2 packs of beef jerky
    5 six-packs of bic lighters
    3 packs of condoms
    3 energy drinks
    3 packs of gum

Also a jet lighter from walmart.

Nothing big nothing that would cost the company. I just get bored, and when I am low on cash I steal shit. Nothing over 5 dollars though. (besides sushi 5.99).

I used to steal all the time. I stole WoW, Guild wars, visine, cough syrup (and the pill form, DXM), candy, lighters, and probably other shit from Walmart. One time me and my bro went into Stop n Shop to get alcohol. I walked out with a liter of "Vox" apple vodka" and a bottle of Hypnotiq. My brother came out with a handle of Captain Morgans and a 5th of Hennessey. We got drunk and watched Dazed and Confused, verrry good night. I also used to steal from convenient stores a little too much.

My conscious got a hold of me so i decided to quit..plus stealing is stealing and there really is no excuse. It also isn't worth the risk...not to mention being named a "thief" would be a false label on me, because im not. Well i was, but not now. Being known as a thief would suck.

Live how you want to be defined.
