I remember me and some friends ran out on a dinner after eating, but they marked the wrong price on the menu. I would pay $10 for a really nice meal, not 100.

Yea I think dining and dashing is terrible especially when you have a nice waitress.

I wouldn't mind a dine and dash at a buffet in another city.

    I steal because...

    1. I'm hungry or have a need that isn't worth my time/money to gather. I.e. poor
    2. I know how much corporations throw away, and write off as taxes. This pisses me off, therefore I'd like to cut a chunk in the assholes upstairs wallet. I don't even really care about hurting them as much as changing things myself.
    3. I hate the company I'm stealing from

I know plenty of people who used to work in Walmart.

They say that the only perk of the job is that you can steal shit from there.

    Very ironic.

How could you get away with stealing from Walmart? Or anywhere now that they have those machines when you're walking out?
To the original poster: pot didn't make ya steal. You did. But it's okay 'cause it was only a buck. :)

There are no sensors in any food items, and most other items that cost less than 50$. (other than stuff that gets stolen alot, such as CDs).

So you could actually walk right through those things with like a loaf of bread and it wouldn't go off?

Theoretically, you can walk through those things with a billion loafs of bread and it won't go off.

Even if you take something that has a sensor thingy in it and walk through the doors, they can't legally stop you unless they're already after you. They have to catch you before you leave Walmart in order to be able to arrest you.

They also won't press any charges if they catch you stealing something worth less than 20$. They will just ban you from the store, which honestly means nothing.

yea i was one of those ppl, i liked the job untill i started to notice that walmart treated all its workers like indentured servants (bet you havent heard that term since 5th grade;)) then i started stealing lighters, dvds, video games, condoms, and feminine heigine products (for my gf at the time, i wasnt about to buy that shit, its embarassing) it was fun but i felt a little bad.

the worst thing i stole was 300 dollars from the register when the cashier in front of me forgot to sign out

Yeah. I know people who worked there and stole thousands of dollars worth of merchandise, sold it on e-bay and stuff and then bought drugs and stuff with the money.

I wouldn't do it myself... but Walmart does make it ridiculously easy for them.

Wowza. I had no idea. I always wondered how people expected to get away with it when there were sensors right there.

Do they put some of the groceries in bags? I would think if they weren't in bags it would look suspicious.

Yeah. I have a friend who just takes as many condom boxes as he can carry... take them to the bathroom... stuff the condoms down his pants... flush the cartons... and go on his marry way.

    His girlfriend loves him :D

    No.

You can pull anything off in this world if you look confident enough to be intimidating.
