Apparently a couple years ago I was going every 6 months (see above post) but I think that was the last time I went. I don't have dental insurance and the costs have gone way up just for a cleaning.
I don't have dental either! My family and I asked the dentist's office about options for low income patients and they made us a deal. They only charged me $30 for a regular cleaning. Pretty cool. I have been to the dentist recently. Within the last 6 months.
Well... I haven't had to have a tooth pulled recently. Actually, more like I can't afford to have a tooth pulled.
Been going lots... thought I was going to lose all my upper teeth. But they have been fixed up, lowers still still working well at my advanced age So I go into the dentist next week to get a mold made from Seaweed extract and then they will make me some new teeth to replace the ones they took out... I can't wait to smile again.
Had to get a new crown last month after a root canal the previous month. Mortgaged the house and sold my wife to pay for it.
We all go every six months for a cleaning and check up. Fortunately we have coverage for full dental.
I have a job which provides me with insurance, and therefore I go to the dentist quite regularly. I enjoy going to the dentist, for what it's worth. The dentists' office is in a skyscraper that overlooks the city and you get too sit right by the lwall-length window and look out while they drill yo mouth. They also give you headphones. I like to listen to This American Life while I'm at the dentist. Last time I was in it was a story about a girl coming to terms with her genital mutilation. It made me think.
The last time i went to the dentist must've been about 12 years ago in 2004. Yet my teeth are still strong and healthy. 2006 for last time i've visited a doctor for being ill.
about 5 years ago ...had to get a broken tooth fixed and a cavity fixed (my first fillings) that was my only visit other than checkups when i was maybe 8.. as a (barely) self employed person i have no coverage
once when i was little, when i was in kindergarten or before. my parents less then a year later, got conned into having all of their teeth pulled out by the same one. never been to one since. close to half my teeth have fallen out on their own just fine. (one at a time, usually two or three years between each of them doing so. first one was when i was in my mid 20s. i'm now 68) my brain has not rotted any more then it would have otherwise from their doing so.
