Without some kind of scenario or explanation, I am not buying into this.

 

My frustration lies in the fact that college educated african americans have the highest rate of infant mortality in the united states.


You can do the right things, say the right things, stay out of trouble with the law, don't do drugs, go to college and become successful, and in the end you still get screwed over by something as simple as racism (as subtle as it might be)

Well, there is systemic racism. Then there is prejudice.

I laugh my ass off at prejudice.

But what hurts me is the systemic shit...loans, real estate, etc.

 

it's so FRUSTRATING. i have 32 years of stifled curiousity. i wanna know! but i'm not allowed to ask. i'm mocked when i express interest, enjoyment, etc. because i'm a sterotypical white girl. man, give me a freaking break! i've been educated on the brilliant culture, heritage and history of the black race since i was born. but i can't ask? i have to watch my mouth ALL THE TIME? fuck, i offend the shit out of everyone at some point in time. but if i say some thing stupid out of an enforced ignorance and exclusivity that i sure as hell didn't bring about, i get the rolled eyes and silly ignorant white girl comments.

 

my brothers can't get a loan, mortgage or anything either. but that's THEIR problem. i have never gotten a credit card, ever, and that's MY PROBLEM. i accept that.

okay, i guess the reason i'm supremely annoyed right now is because i was in sam's club. i was going around a corner and nearly crashed into a guy coming the other way. i was startled. then i look up into the face of the most gorgeous man i've ever seen. every time i saw him i just STARED. seriously, drop dead model gorgeous. you know what the fucker said to his friend? "she acts like she's never seen a black gu before." i swear, i wanted to throw shit at his head. fucking dick.

 

fuck you, man. that's totally fucked up. i'm not stepping on ANYONE. never have. no, i've never gotten anywhere in my life, and i'm sick and fucking tired of bullshit comments like that.

But, uh, you're very wrong. White people get denied loans, sure. But not because they are white.

 

economics is more than race related. now if you want to discuss the more latent problem of upbringing and economic background, i'm all for that. but i refuse to be blamed for the death of black children.

It’s about systemic racism as Praxiskepsis pointed out which is much more difficult to dislodge.

As an individual you’re innocent, and yet guilty, because you live in a society that allows this to behavior to flourish while you sit back and reek the benefits.

Well, I disagree that white people are guilty actually. I don't believe in general guilt.

I think dislodging racism is our job.

 

Plenty of people in America feel animosity toward Jews. Is this reflected in the Jewish infant mortality rate?
