Darwin said that life can only come from life. But life hasn't been around forever, because we know the finite age of the universe. Stuff like that blows me away.
well it depends upon how you define life of course, but new life forms come into existence regularly and freequently. as for saying when, if ever there were no such thing anywhere ever and then there first came into existence being, that would presuppose a knowledge of such ever having been the case. we can say with a high degree of certainty when that may have been true for this one planet we occupy. but that is as much as anything human is capable of, at this point, honestly and objectively knowing about it. we DON'T KNOW that there was EVER a time when there was not something we would call life, somewhere in the very big universe of which our world is a very infantisimal part. we only know that there was a time, when THIS planet was only rocks, did not even have an atmosphere the myriad of life forms that now share it, could have survived without. it is one thing to recognize there are many things we can experience without claiming or pretending to know anything about them. it is quite another, to pretend, as organize beliefs, or many of those who claim to fallow them, all too often do, to know, what is not known, at all, by anyone. =^^= .../\...
