I am working on making new friends just lately. I started going to Aquafit. I am just not good at talking to people I don't know, so I work pretty slow.
ive given up on new ones and am currently working on knowing the ones i have already better...and weeding out the ones that arent worth the effort of knowing better
a few weeks ago. i lived here for almost a year before discovering that my neighbors are actually pretty cool people.
About 8 months ago, a coworker and I became close friends by sitting in the same cubicle. We hang out after work sometimes, on the weekends and call each other when either one is losing their mind. We've even had small "fights" and made up. She's probably the closest friend I have right now, even though I have a few friends here that I've known for a longer time. I'm not highly social and my free time I like to spend with my family, but it's sometimes nice to get out of the cave and hang out with normal people or like she tells me "you need to make friends that don't do drugs" lol
Meeting new people can be really good because people tend to get stuck in their groups social norms. It can be refreshing to get out.
