wow, we all feel so strongly and we all agree on it. thats truely amazing. normally people have different opinions on a topic.

 

yeah... and hell no i wont live in a nursing home... dont plan on makin it past 55 anyway

In most of the cases I've known, people are put in nursing homes when they are not able to take care of themselves....be it financially, physically or mentally.

If you have kind enough relatives or enough money, you can usually be placed in an assisted living community (more like apartments with well-trained nurses/assistants). The sad part though is that most relatives are not willing to spend that kind of money on a "loved one" so they get dumped off in a nursing home. Then you just wait to die from lack of care.
