Where do the virgins come from?

That is not what I said.
Some women fantasize about being offered up to a man, some men fantasize about being offered up to a woman, (interchange the man/woman with whatever you want). Maybe the parts of the Islamic doctrine that are availiable for public consumption only mention the part about women being offered up to men. Maybe some lost Islamic scroll or whatever mentions men being offered up to women, I may be wrong but I'm sure it does not forbid this anywhere in the extant version of the Koran.

And as for your question "so a real woman is a thing to be used" - it depends on what the real woman and real man/woman/whatever wants. Just gotta be consensual.

 

I know nothing about Islam but thats never stopped me before. Given that when we die our physical bodies will be either burnt or burried or some such there will obviously be no sex in the conventional sense in heaven. Therefore this must be a metaphorical point rather like the bibles continual references to 'gnashing of teeth' in hell. Experiences in heaven or hell are purely spiritual ones, so as these passages are metaphorical and designed to induce a mental picture I dont really think the initial question is relevant. Whether or not the statement says something about peoples attitudes I dont know enough about the context of the passage to tell.
