I too like exploring forests, especially barefoot.

The sea is what I chose because I feel like I live for the salt water on my skin, especially when it's warm. And just being on the beach is a high for me. But I really don't know.

I spent a lot of time exploring the countryside today. It's chilly but in a refreshing way and there are some gorgeous ponds. Great to reflect and the solitude is unbeatable. It's fun to bring a lover out. It's where I live so of course it's dear to me. Ah, and forests have that fresh smell and dark mysteriousness which is amazing to me. I chose sea but I'm kind of leaning toward... well, all the other ones, too. Except probably city.

A city can be beautiful in it's own way and an awesome place to be, too, sometimes but I know that too much city is overwhelming. We need all the beautiful places on that list and if the city took over all of it... which looks like what is happening... then, well, that would just be sad.

the sea. Just being in and around water all day makes me feel so clean and relaxed. Finding the most isolated spot and just chilling all day. I dunno, it's the whole experience. Fishing, then cooking the catch yourself in the coals of the fire, with corn on the cob dripping with butter. Sitting in the sand, with your feet in the water, looking at the stars, secluded from everyone. Bliss.

forrested mountainous countryside is my home i grew up in. big valleys are great for growing food, but i just can't get used to thinking of them as a place for people to live, even if most cities seem to be built in them. there's just a sense of not rightness, that i'll never get over, even if i live the rest of my life and die down here, to living on lowland flatland.

nothing against coastal mountains either, but building too close to the shoreline is a roll of the dice against the ocean sooner or later eating it.

back up in coastal hills but still close enough to the shoreline, like within a few miles or tens of miles might be ok for someone who really gets all that much out of sand in their ass and the smell of dead fish. but i'd rather have pine needles between my toes myself.

I across a road from a beach in the middle of the countryside, about 45 minutes outside of town, in the forest. It's nice.

I live up a mountain, surrounded by forest, with the sea 20 mins away. Love it.

They all have their advantages, but I like all kinds of nature, pity there isn't much of any of those options near where I live... it's all cities, meadows, highways, farmland and greenhouses. :(

I love water so a lake or sea would be fine with me, my 2nd option would have to be the city..

I have different favorite places in different phases of my life, it depends on many things...Right now my favorite place (if we don't count these 2 cities I'm living in currently) would be by the sea...I miss summer and swimming...:-|

Although I love each place for different reasons, my heart must live by the sea.

Of course we all enjoy relaxing in any of these areas. Well, I go there to relax being from the city (suburbs). We all have our favorites. I love to be blastin thru some soft snow up in the hills tho.
