I don't have any problem with eating a burger or wearing my suede coat. It's good for me. Sure McDonalds burgers are pretty fatty but a homemade burger is surprisingly good for you. (in moderation) These animals are going to die anyways. Your right that animals aren't treated well at meat/leather factories but I'm not personally killing them. Your right that we wouldn't want animals to kill us so why should we kill them? Well, because we can. It's not my fault they aren't as smart as humans and don't fight back and form armies. The day that animals have organized crime schemes against humans is probally the day I'll die as for now I'm still eating meat and wearing skins.
hm robin you tell funny jokes And animals arent already dead, idiot. theyre brutally kill them after a life of torture. Are youre saying "oops, we just killed it, oh well, guess we gotta eat it" ....thats just fucking stupid. refusal to eat meat is a boycott.
gumby you have no conscience whatsoever? just because youre not the one comitting the act doesnt mean it shouldnt affect you. Have you seen the beheadings performed by terrorists? well, you must be okay with them, since you werent the one cutting off the heads, after all. 7 year old children go to work in dingy sweat shops across the world making clothing for you, but its okay, since you arent the one beating and enslaving them. and if i killed myself, who would remind you and your kind of the selfish fucks that you are? And this "youll eat meat eventually" crap. Dont tell me what i will do. There are so many other sources of nutrition...most of which dont KILL you if not prepared properly.
Colours, chill out man. Isn't freedom of choice entitled to all man. If you don't want to eat meat that's cool. I know plenty of vegans. I've even thought about going green myself, but I chose not to. I say to each their own. Solving problems with anger solves nothing. No one will listen and your efforts will be futile. Inform people don't conform people. - peace
i was originally only referring to skinning. or rather wondering as to why it is done so brutally. but youre right... i shouldnt expect such a narrow minded person to change their mind.
My bad. I can understand your position Colours, I think they need to treat animals better. For one they should be dead when you skin them. They should get at least a bit of a happy life before being skinned. aka large roaming area, sunlight, good food, ect. Yes I do have one coat but it's not a crazy collection like JLo's. Mine is cow hide that would be killed fro meat production anyways.
ok so you're saying the animals (that would have been killed whether you eat meat or not) in the shops is not dead? are you talking about a pet shop... and not always is it torture....and anyway how do you know that animals dont enjoy torture? are you a chicken? because to my knowledge im not
I admit I don't consider animal feelings when I eat a burger or wear a coat because it is no longer a cute little animal it is a product. So I don't relate it in my mind. I know I just don't think about it. I for one could not kill them myself.
wouldnt you rather have that cute, living little animal to carry with you rather than wear it dead on your back?
ahhh it's so sad. there's no need to hunt for sport or clothing or anything. if it's a neccessetity and it's killed for food you may as well use the rest tho. just hope that's it's killed in a somewhat humane way... it that's at all possible.
Ya know I went to that PETA website and it's actually starting to sway my mind. I've also listened to many different views on this forum. So I'm actually thinking about being a vegan and getting rid of skins. Hmm... Does that make me weak for changing my mind?
if weak's witnessing brutality and choosing to boycott its products, then yes. For me, i couldnt know such things were happening while continuing to support the meat industry. i couldnt call myself a good person.
