My parents were soooooooo creative, that they named me after my dad!!!

I mean, who in the hell can't even spend JUST TWO OR THREE MINUTES TO PICK OUT A NAME FOR THEIR KID?!?!!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!!?!?!?!! Unprepared assholes.

 

I was named after someone who died when they were 5 years old. I guess they never wanted me to live very long.

My true name actually is Zinka. It's a veeeeery rare croatian name, and I got it after one famous croatian opera singer. I know only like 2 or 3 people with my name in the whole world.

well my mom was 16 and i guess she was just sittin there smoking a J (im assuming she was at least b/c she told me she used to be a big pot head back in the day so yah whatever) and was like 'i think ill name my kid Syra (sigh-ra) von'
von is my aunt questas middle name so i was lucky enough to inherit that name.
i think Syra is pretty nifty name...especially since i found out that Syra in swedish means acid

 

Acid as in battery acid or LSD?
Either way it's an awesome name.

Given name

It was just the first thing my parents agreed on, bit of a crappy choice with hindsight, but the other options sucked too.

Funnily enough my Great great Grandmother was called Elizabeth (of which my name is a variant) and her husband was Richard. Guess what my brother's name is? Our parents honestly didn't realise until recently.

My middle name Clair is after my cousin. With the spelling altered by Dad in the belief that was more the original English spelling (it's not, though is a French word)

Chosen name

I found Sage on a list of hippy names, which just sounds so lame. Can't remember what the inital draw was but thinking about it, it's perfect.
It's origins are either the latin salvia (healing) or else wise/prophet.

Cerridwen is a Welsh Goddess, one of the coolest most powerful goddesses. Which honours my heritage and religious persuation.

Surname

Either way that's Ingram, which is Scottish. My Dad's family was from a town near Loch Loman. They moved down south about 600 years ago.

my name is Stephanie, i think my parents just found it a beautifull name but when i asked where they got it form they answered prinses Stephanie from Monaco, but the stefanotis is also a little sweet flower... so kinda happy with it.

 

It's the kind of acid that citrus fruit have. But lets pretend it means LSD coz it's more fun that way. :H

Well my first name is Antoine because they like a lot the name and it sounds great with my french familly name wich is Tetreault. My second name is Alexis and it comes from my grand grand grand father who had a store in a lost village of deep Quebec. Also my last name is Joseph because i am catholic, well i"m baptized as a catholic

 

i have also a french backname but i'm not gonna tell because my father said the meaning was very stupid...
