Which is your favorite?

    From this list I'd say the ddors and pink floyd, but there are others, too....

    fromt he list, i'd say floyd, but my favourite band is really led zeppelin.

    wow... that is a good list of bands... it was such a hard decision... i LOVE the grateful dead, the doors, and pink floyd... i think it really depends on my mood. but i love all those bands...

    The Doors! Jim Morrison is a god. I was listening to him when he was still alive.

    Out of all those I picked Floyd, but only the Syd years....

    All of those bands except for The Dead are extremely overrated. The Dead are the greatest jamband ever, too bad I dont like jambands though..

    The Doors = overrated garbage made by wannabe poets.

    Why isn't Led Zeppelin on that list? Thats where my vote would be. The Doors and Pink Floyd are awesome, but nothing compared to Zeppelin.

    I agree with the wannabe poet bit... I really don't get Jim Morrison's "poetry". I used to worship the guy, but after many years of retrospect, his lyrics sound like a pretentious load of mumbo jumbo to me. However, they made some exceptional quality tunes IMO, so out of that lot they get my vote.

    And besides, I have never heard any music by either Phish or The Grateful Dead (please don't flame me anyone)...
