I dunno, I've driven around in Long Beach and I never got hit, but I almost got hit more than once.

Maybe they were from Kansas though.

Perhaps you're right but those drivers new york city (especially the cab drivers) are ruthless and are often unpredictable, suddenly cutting you off or taking a right from the furthest left lane of traffic
