there are three categories of the physical aspects of things, they are mineral, vegetable and animal. if you want to count things that are completely non-physical, as i often do, they make a fourth but intrinsically unprovable kind of thing. just as gases and liquids are sub-categories of mineral, sapience is a sub category of sentience, if it even is one at all. this is not a belief. it is a definition. monkeys and jungles have nothing to do with it.

oh, and monkeys are cool, but i'm a cat. well sort of a cat.
the worlds of my previous lives people looked sort of a little bit like cats.
more like cats then humans do on this earth.
though we walked on two legs, had, if anything, bigger brains then humans,
and yes, opposable thumbs and liked to design and make things.

and believed in spirit things that are greater then ourselves,
and that this is an aspect to our existence as well,
but without the idea of having to dictate what others pretend to know about them.

today, living this life on this world,
i look like any other human.
the spirit does not shape the physical form.

of course you're still welcome to think i'm some kind of nut,
that's cool because normal is a myth.
you're also welcome to take it all as a kind of allegory,
which it mostly is.

this is actually true of me also. they were both very much alive when i was a child. my dad made to 69, that was in 1991, and my mom to 91, in 2009,
but they are both dead now, and i was their only child. i'll be 69 myself this may. and if i'm alive in 2020 i'll be 72.
