I rarely drink. I don't like the taste of it. Once in a great while I will. I did more when I was younger. It also has to do with the fact that I don't like to feel like crap for days at a time recovering etc. I like feeling sober. I like doing things that don't need drinking to be fun.
I'm glad I found this post, it's really relevant to me at the moment as I just made the decision to stop drinking. Like a few of you have said, I too have a parent with an alcohol problem and it's like the pattern keeps being repeated within the family so I need to stop now. I'm not a heavy drinker by any means but I definitely need support to stop so I'm going to an AA meeting next week. Pretty nervous but I think it'll be a good step forward.
I Can Honestly Say Alcohol Has Never Touched My Lips.... Back Of Mouth...Yes, Throat...Yes, Stomach...Yes, Liver...Yes, Bladder...Yes, But Not My Lips.... Cheers Glen.
If you have tasted every brand of alcohol in the world to determine that they all taste like crap, guess what.....it means you drink.
