man, fuck richie sambora and that whole crew with a shoe horn... and kurt is one of the greatest guitarists of all time? i mean, he admittedly sucked. i like nirvana, but c'mon...

anyway... james gurley of big brother and the holding company, with leigh stephens of blue cheer a close second. or perhaps buddy guy. subjective, subjective, subjective...

At the risk of sounding boring, my favorites always:

    Jimi
    Stevie Ray Vaughn
    Santana
    Robin Trower
    Angus Young
    Randy Rhodes

Sambora is a chameleon guitarist... influenced by hendrix and page..so hes not the best but he's pretty amazing... at least it makes most underated in my book..

the greatest for me is David Gilmour

note the sarcastic smiley... and i do believe that is an outright lie. neither ringo starr or tico torres can come close to competing with the glory that is mitch mitchell's drumming...

he was the guitarist for the band...and a great one at that...

I have to say Jimmy Page is the best, no matter how many times it'll be mentioned
