Those school girl day if telling tales and bitting nails are gone But in my mind I know they still live on and on But how do you thank someone who was taken you from crayons to perfume It isn't easy but I'll try If you wanted the sky I'd write across the sky in letters That would soar a thousand feet high To sir with love The time has come For closing books and lock less looks like stares And as I leave I know that I am leaving my best friend A friend who taught me right from wrong And weak from strong that's a lot to learn What can I give you in return If you wanted the moon I would try to make a start but I Would rather you let give my heart To sir with love
Poitier for sure, first on screen Inter-racial kiss, singing that Amen song with the nuns, getting those rebelious kids in line in the early 70's in Britan and if you havent seen it see The simple life of Noah Dearborn, the secondary acting and writing is TERRIBLE but poitier shines and makes it a more than bearable movie.
Denzel Washington, unfortunately I don't really have a favorite black actress. But then again, I hate mst actresses to begin with.
Tony Todd is pretty cool, he also played Kurn the brother of Commander Worf on Star Trek: the Next Generation Hotwater
Fortunately we've moved beyond the traditional black television stereotypes like, Rollo on Sanford & Son, that fancy-dude police informant Rooster on Baretta, Sanford & Sons bible thumping Aunt Esther, 300 lb Mrs. Thomas on What's Happening, Jive talking JJ on Good Times, James at 15's hip friend 'Sly' Hazeltine, and Huggy Bear on Starsky & Hutch Hotwater
