i hate to hop on the bandwagon with my answers. i wish i had some unique bands to name that no one has ever heard of. but i dont. the ones im about to mention have been named before, many times. and for a damn good reason. they are the best bands. ever

I never said they had to be similar. If you think that Phish is even close to as good as Pink Floyd, enough so that they could ever even be considered to be at the top with them, there's something wrong with you.

I think to name a greatest band, you'd have to break it all down to technicality, and then name a 'greatest' band from every single genre and subgenre to ever exist. That would be tiresome as well as not really worth your time.
