I Have Moved On To The Next Chapter In My Life.

I Respond........I Always Spoke Like This Until I Started Hanging Out With The "Wrong Company".

Usually Leaves Them Speechless Till They Have Time To Process It...... .

I grew up in an upper-middle class community west of Boston which left me with no discernible accent only a cultured voice
which only indicates to most where I didn’t grow-up.

Most people tell me they love British accents. Then they hear mine....I don't think its quite what they had in mind.

Most English people can tell the difference between american accents broadly speaking, like the difference between southern and northern states, but I couldn't tell you the difference between city accents within those regions.

 

What accent do you have?

 

I exaggerate. its not terrible. I imagine that people assume that English people from London talk either in a cockney accent or in a posh accent. I speak in a south London accent that used to be a lot stronger and is now pretty mild, so I think it just defies certain expectations. These days I don't think I'd blow anyone's minds, I just sound fairly bland.

You can still come cotch at my yard for schubz though. Come we go chicken shop.

I used to work in a call center and as such I'm pretty unimpressed with all American accents, they all kinda make me cringe.

 

Maybe the diversity of american accents sound better in movies than over the phone

I have a strange chameleon accent. I tend to pick up the local sounds.. Which was annoying when I lived in Germany. Ach! At the moment, it's hillbilly southern (yuck). Unless I'm drinking and then it's me father's brogue.
