Wht does north always have to be on top?

australians will always be upside down even when they are right side up

I've heard Australia flips the map too. But we all know that's just silly cause America is on top. JK. Northside; represent yo!

 

It all makes sense when you realise there is no top. Just black space... and a sphere going around a star.

What does need a change up is the fact that whenever there is a commercial picture of the Earth it is always from the angle with Nth and Sth America front and centre...
honestly our country is just shaped better. no offense but it's true. the top heavy blob is not hot.


^ you heard wrong, we do not flip the map, although i wouldnt object to it. all of our stuff must be imported from the northern countries

 

Because all the maps used to be made by people in the Northern Hemisphere.

I have seen a map for sale that was printed to read the other way (south at the top), but I didn't buy it because it was expensive. Hanging on my wall, it would surely start some interesting conversations.

 

if it were south end up it'd look like all the land was sinking to the bottom
