Actually, in the United States you are and adult at age 18. You have all of the rights of any adult, as far as voting, taxes, etc. The only difference is you cannot drink until your 21st birthday under the law. You continue to make a fool of yourself my posting false info.

Yes we know that human rights are not the way they should be in this country. But if you didn't notice, the election system failed the people in electing Bush. What a coincidence that it happened to be the state where his brother was governor, Florida. That corruption changed the outcome of that election and brought it into the lawmakers hands. Al Gore won the popular vote. If anything we need to reform our election system, and human rights reforms will follow. We the people, got cheated. You need some help with your research technique. Also, I always hear these poll numbers, that are taken by the media. They cannot possibly be accurate. I have never been counted in a poll. How can we trust their polls, when we can't trust the info on daily reports?

Yes, some Americans are arrogant, but most of us just want to do our part to improve our beloved country. Unfortunately, a democratic republic is not without flaws. Because of this we hit roadblocks in our history such as the Bush Administration. Popular belief in this country is that we should end the war, it was a mistake. We still support our men and women over there until the end. They weren't a part of the decision to start a war, and believe me when I say this...When a member of the armed forces gets orders to go to Iraq, the family is devastated. We don't want this. Stop judging us based on generalizations that have no info to back them.

I don't dislike anyone based on color, ethnicity, sexual orientation, education, etc. So all I can say is you might want to read more before you try to bash a country that has many good, loving citizens within.

I highly recommend picking up "The Culture of Fear" by prof. Barry Glassner.

It explains in detail how the media uses statistics to instill fear into citizens and in return gets exactly what they want. You would be VERY surprised about how they come up with all these "statistics" you hear on the evening news... Glassner breaks it down and examines how statistics and polls are calculated... you will want to smack yourself for EVER believing a word of that bullshit.
