Why become a Vegetarian?

    so... u sayin that the amazon people have been curing themselves with useless herbs for centuries... is it because its not doctor approved and on the shelf?

    no.. not saying that. i guess i am just saying i don't really like those products too much. tropical medicine should stay in the tropic imo. then again it will be tropical everywhere soon enough, thanks global warming.


    i would not say any one thing will remove mucoid plaque easily, more to the point

    I'm a vegetarian now for one reason...just because it feels right. The food is good, the energy is good.

    why is this even in the hippy forum ?? You don't have to be a vegetarian to be a hippy or the other way around. Well maybe there is no food forum dunno..

    plants do not have a central nervous system, and therefore cannot feel pain and suffer...

    i'm a vegetarian, i don't eat anything that has a central nervous system aka: had to feel pain for me to have food i could get from other sources.

    also, the health benefits, and avoidance of animal cruelty in MY LIFE regardless as to weather or not 3 meat eaters are born each day, I do not wish to have anything to do with the harm of animals, i would be a vegan, however it's a very dificult lifestyle to choose, and although i havn't chosen it myself, i have great respect for any and all vegans for their commitment.
