Is there any reason to? Sure, it's an entirely plausible reason but you've got to be a little gullible to just accept what's written for publicity. I'd say it probably contains elements of truth and omits others. Like how "studies" have shown that people respond more to names with the letters X, Y, and Z in the titles. That's why you see so many "X-Treme" products or things with Z's in the place of S's. I'll bet you anything someone in the marketing department came up with this and said, word for word, that this would make them look "hip and cool". As long as they've cornered the market on Amanda Tapping and Claudia Black I'll keep tuning in.
No not really, but it just seemed more likely than the reasons being given. It could have been as simple as a copyright issue. I agree with the name being focus-grouped, though.. I guess the actual name is one thing, and the reason for it to be changed another. Lol. :cheers2:
They made a mistake in my opinion. Creative spelling is irritating to me but they wanted to be able to copy write something or whatever. I hope they eventually see that it didn't do what they'd hoped for them. Then again, maybe it will. Who knows?
Shut Your Fucking Yap.. I didnt even know this and I was looking all over the band for scifi, til i figured it out..
