Oi,Irminsul....one is NOT 'grumpy'.....one is merely unidirectional regarding one's attitude and thoughts regarding young whippersnappers such as yourself!

Y'came straight in,didn't bother to wipe your feet, didn't ask if anyone fancied a cup of tea,or if anyone needed the loo-just walked straight in and plonked your massive arse on the 'incontinent people only' absorbent sofa, then turned the tv over,so the picture was upside-down!...and you wonder why us old farts all hate you! HUH!

I like the idea! 10/ 10 would read and recommend. I like books that weave dark humor and fantasy together :) makes me think of Neil Gaiman

Yes, Gaiman was always an inspiration. :) I can't remember too much of American Gods, but I remember it having to me dark ambience theme and vibe going on like a lot of his stuff does and I picture that to be similar to my book idea, but of course, my book would have its funny as parts.

Not so long after I thought about my book, Violent J of ICP released a song called 14 year old boy, and basically he was hit by a truck and then was a ghost and he did all the dumb shit you'd do as a ghost knowing ICP sense of humour, moving objects Scaring cats, spying on girls in the shower all the way to trying to care for his mom who she couldn't see there and I was thinking see him there and he wanted to tell her he's okay. that's the raw sense of humor I'd have in my book. And even I remember writing into that first chapter it was pretty amusingly twisted as he tried to get ready for work after on OD.

No, once MSN merged with Skype I found it really dissatisfying and my Instant Messeging system days were over. I PM Duck a couple of years ago and he remember me of course :p but I haven't heard anything since.

people who share one or more of my interests to mouth off among.
i really see no point in generic social media.

only in forums who's topics i relate to in at least some however remote way.
stuff about trains and other physical infrastructure, stuff about little furry creatures, stuff about how we make our world the way it is, how things affect each other,
things like that. and when forums stray from relating to those things, then they become tidius to me.

so i've never been attracted to farcebork or twitoid, though occasionally i have thoughts and opinions that ought to be expressed there to their wider audience,
but i don't want to get into pointless disagreements with people who hate logic for the sake of hating logic.

    People on forums often do.
Not as they would in the real world.
Some just like to be pedantic, some obstinate, some just like to wind folks up. That's forums.
