WHy do People dispise Gemini's.

I find myself to be well liked (not particularly on this forum, but in school), and popular with the ladies, Idk, I think its something about the fact im bi.

 

When I was about 17 this older man that used to come into the shop that I worked in had asked me what sign I was. I told him Gemini and he went off on me like a sicko. I had a total "deer in the headlights" look on my face as he ranted how horrible we are and that all we do is hurt people and we are sluts. OMG I thought...I should just go kill myself now. lol....Back then he made me terrified to tell anyone when my birthday was. Today I laugh and honestly could not give a rat's bum! I love all my Gem friends and family members...and I like who I am. I personally think that we are very laid back and accepting beings. Sometimes a little moody and quirky sure...but then again who the heck isn't? Right? I've been told that I have a "soothing" soul and a sick but great sense of humor so I guess I'm not some horrid "Gemini" after all...lol And I'm definitely not a slut. I am assuming this cat was seriously scorned by some Gem chick way back when and most likely deserved it....and honestly...regardless of the sign he really was the horrid person.

I work with Vedic Astrology instead of Western. In this Indian astrology system, Gemini Suns are actually defined as people born between June 15th and July 15th. ... long story as to why the signs shift. Anyways, Gemini Suns is not just twins, but can also be a man and women/ a couple. It would make you a very powerful communicator and into relationships. My mom is a gemini. She is truly a Jeckyll Hyde. And i hate her. Geminis come in a whole bunch of varieties. I have a good gemini friend but i often find the jeckyll hyde variety that turns me off completly.

people who despise any sign are fools.

however, geminis can for certain people seems a little flighty and changeable. they seems VERY sociable and friednly and it feels they hide their dark side until it gets unleashed on you one day and you stand there thinking "where on earth did that come from!!?!!" heh heh.

it seems to me that geminis hide what they really feel in turn for politeness/kindness. I'm not sure whether this is because they are just unsure, or if it's how they were raised, but i find that this gives way to later openness with OTHER people, which gives way to people descriminating against gemini's for being so two faced. i do, however, also see two sides to many geminis. the calm intellectual serious side, and the racy stir things up diva side. gemini's are the youngest of the air signs, and it should be understood as such. intellectually, they are more so within themselves. they are very good communicators, but they are, astrologically, concerned more with themselves, at this point, then with the group. i can see how all this can be translated to mean self-obsessed, self-important, elitest, or whatever, but they are not really like this in the sense that people feel it to be, they are just at the stage in the astrological cycle where self-development is important, and in this case, it's the intellectual/philosophical/intuitive/spritual and generally "mental" part that they're dealing with.

Wow, a lot of people have responded to this topic and seem very passionate about it. I will admit, I definitely have two sides (multiple personalities) and it is scary when the evil side comes out... but no one is perfect! All we Gemini's can do is try to "tone down" our negative qualities or learn from them and turn them into positive things. I love being a Gemini!

My life is surrounded by a lot of Geminis, none of which I can stand. It feels like I'm friends with a whole lot more people than I really am because all of my friends are Geminis.. and.. well.. they just stick out as 2 people in your brain.

My main problems that I find amongst all of them is that they are very self-centered. Not in a "Hey look at me!!" type way, but more in a "they will say anything to get what they want" type way. That really bothers me about you guys... the two-faced deception factor is just intolerable for me.

You play way too many communication games as well.

 

I love geminis! Had never heard of them being despised untill now. I love scorpions as well. Have always got along extremely well with both.
