Because all the good drugs are illegal:(

Society would rather see people fighting and puking and pissing in the streets than see people relaxed and talking about life

Boredom and sobriety go hand in hand. Alcohol sucks, but it's better than nothing when you don't have other drugs.

I thought what I meant was pretty obvious as well but I guess I'll have to clarify.

You think people don't do that when they drink?

I drink because my liver is evil and it must be punished.

Sure, but when pushed to their limit drunks are the worst offenders to be fair :)

I see your point, but moondrizzle makes a valid one, too.

That's the best answer, very funny :D

My liver must have done something dreadful last night because he is being surely punished at this very moment.

I'm two old for double day drinking

I dunno, when it comes to general offense, I've seen heavily drunk people severely outclassed by some psychedelic users and people on PCP.

    Um....
Is English not your first language or are you just intentionally being evasive?

You said (god, quoting this shit for the third time):

If society keeps alcohol legal BECAUSE it would RATHER see people fighting and puking and pissing in the streets THAN see people relaxed and talking about life, then that's because alcohol only does the former things and not the latter. Or at least, that is what you have implied.

It's all subjective though, I have a few friends into PCP and they have always been pretty docile, but then other than there stupid drug habits they are all pretty calm and decent people anyways.

Not saying I haven't seen the bad side of drug users. Just some of the fighting and bad behaviour I have seen is in my eyes unbeatable. I mean, I don't know where you live, but if it's not the UK you have no idea how bad binge drinking can get

seriously, we and a few European countries have a HUGE deal with it.

But I will reiterate, it's all pretty subjective to the person, where they are and who they know, and simply whether or not they take or can handle various drugs like others can :(

I never said OR implied that people don't ever relax and have a good time when drinking.
But I invite you to come for a walk around my city any night of the week and you will see what I am talking about.
every time I go walking at night I am afraid of some drunk assholes picking a fight with me for no reason, I am afraid of this because it happens every day to people here. The people I see pissing all over the place, vandalizing, shouting abuse at passers by and starting fights over nothing etc. are ALL drunk!
I have never seen this kind of disgraceful behavior out of someone who was on any illegal drug that I can think of.
I have no doubt in my mind that alcohol plays a much, much bigger role in causing this shit than any other drug under the sun.

    LOL

You have obviously never visited a council estate. 10/11 year old kids drinking beer in the streets, bricking windows and gang fighting. Flinging fireworks at each other and setting fire to buildings. Pregnant children, parents who are equally pissed and congratulate their kids on the amount of people they have beaten up. Drink so cheap it's nearly the same price to get a pack of beer or soft drinks, kids being served alcohol in the first place. Kids shagging in bus stops, needles scattered around younger children's play areas.

And of course statistically the UK is more or less proven to be one of the worst binge drinking areas in Europe, we can drink at a much young age here than you can in America. Some places it's like 15/16.

Seriously, I simply cannot imagine many places as bad, binge drinking is accepted here. I walk in the city centre of my home, and I love my city, but students are all over the streets in ripped clothes, fighting and covered in vomit and piss- and as I walk past these people I get heckled and abused. It's unsightly that I can try and stop a man beating up his girlfriend just to have this same girl, who's pants are around her ankles, try and slap me thereafter. Our streets are either closed off or pedestrianized because of the amount of drunks we have, we have to actually acomodate them to ensure no one gets killed.

But for the record, i'm sure America is pretty bad also, with those silly little brown bags
