In the last two years I've been robbed twice, had a gun shoved in my face, and been on a porch at a party that got shot up from the road. My neighbors one time ran into my apartment asking us to hide them because a coke dealer was coming with his "crew" to collect on a debt. As soon as they got out of the car I saw two guns. I could cite countless examples.

My point is, you would never expect me to have been through those things. You don't know what anyone else's life is like either.

yeah thats right i went to a camp in rhode island. and so fucking what? let me tell you something...I am damn proud of whatever my mom was able to do for my brother and i. she scraped and saved and got us out of the hood so we didnt have to grow up like her. and guess what? we were the only ones. all of my family on my moms side - is still in the mother fucking ghetto. my little baby cousins (not so little anymore) are mother fucking gang banging drug dealers. i have done everything to get the out of their situation, but their a product of the ghetto and the streets go to them before i did. i have grown up seeing some fucking shit you wouldnt even believe. my fucking life was a living hell until i was 12/13. my stepdad was a thug drug addict and all he did was surround my brother and i with that shit when my mom wasnt around. ive visited family members in jail/prison. i know what the fucking hood is like and how you can get stuck there with no way out. i fucking go back there all the time bringing food to my family there and am very involved in the community trying to help young people learn a better way.

my mom was kicked out of her house when she was 14 and lived on the fucking streets as a CHILD until she trusted a few men who did nothing but kick her ass and abuse my brother and i. my stepdad who lived with us until i was 12/13 held a gun to our fucking heads everytime my mom tried to leave. ive seen her get beat the fuck down. seen him get locked up numerous times and once for attempted murder on her. ive been to mother fucking crack houses, hell my brother and i even had a hiding spots before we got there in case the cops came.

ive seen shit you wont even believe and dealt with shit you will NEVER have to go through. so dont mother fucking judge or mock what little my mother was able to do for me when i was young. you dont mother fucking know me white boy

i agree that "hood" includes no race. but TCF is convincing enough to make it where he is trying to show off his struggles as a badge like he KNOWS how hiphop is...he KNOWS the struggle.
