Why do the spiritual people tell me I need to be free from permanence?

What or who makes you think that this is true? There is an evil sorcerer in this plane.

You will soon find that this is impossible without doing violence onto your fellow man. Maybe you could escape from your culture in Buddha's time but not now. All legitimate action in a capitalist society is competitive.

Supposing I subscribe to your morality, how is it possible for me to live when every action interferes with the action of another in this society?

By permanence I would assume a spiritual person is talking about the physical. Many spiritual or religious people are obsessed with moving on to their imaginary fantasy realms. Some to point of rejection of the flesh and denial of reality. It's a common trait bred into human minds for possibly over a million years, a social survival instinct and coping mechanism. Essential mindset for an expendable tool sacrificing itself for the greater population.

By permanence, I mean winning your eternal lives in heaven the kingdom of love and justice.

What do you mean by "legitimate"?

What do you mean by "in"?

Can you take actions "out" of your society?

Seems to me like this concept of Legitimate is a mental conception and doesn't correspond to any Absolute Reality.

A Buddha, or indeed anyone interested in Absolute Reality, would be long-since done with such ideas of legitimacy and illegitimacy.

Of course you can. Any act you do without the concern for increasing your social position.

Absolute reality? And just what is that, and how would you check if this one corresponds? Surely it is unknowable.

Another way of saying free from permanence is to be non-attached to form.

Reality is permanent and wholly satisfying if beheld.

Consider our predicament. We come to this world seeking and we are endowed with a sense that there is good in the world and we must have it, (desire). We have hunger but it is not understood. Hunger is never satisfied. It's purpose is to eat. Hunger's purpose is to eat but to eat need not be your purpose as hunger does not know what it is hungry for.

It is for this reason it is said that to be without desire is liberation. However to be without this impulse is to be without first and only cause. We find the world essentially dissatisfying only because we had not seen what we are looking for. The primary impulse is to be, from the hardness of a stone to the wall of cell, to the sense of gratitude when you realize you are in fact.

Then, satisfaction or fulfillment comes from knowing thyself.

Most in this world fear that they are not and are yet to become and believe what ever that is, is in jeopardy. This impression is fostered by the perception of transience.

Desire seeks connection. In and of itself, it isn't necessarily a bad thing.

We are hard wired to seek.

Cool, bro. Interesting view. The alien thing I really hadn't thought about fully. I feel that I needed definitely to see that. Some of it seemed misinformed, but just a small bit at the end about the transformation of human DNA. What do I know, though?

You seek because you want. You are hard wired to do much more than seek. Without seeking heaven, a being may never find it. Desire can be a guide. Non-beginning can be a guide as well, but don't confuse the non-beginning of your processes with the idea of eternal death (which actually doesn't even exist.)

Non-beginning is useful because if a thought begins, you can examine its cause (many times its opposite -- although i would say that some thought functions have a unitary origin and do not stem from splitting) and figure out what (or who) is influencing you.

I dunno, I'm still pretty fucked up from this divine fire.

Nevermind, I'm all messed up. I wish I was more clear-minded, but I'm just not. My head is in pain. Seeking "knowledge" is just not my thing right now...

.. not the kind of "knowledge" that I'm thinking of, anyway...
