I KNOW it doesn't happen in this house. And that's why I'm here, but we can't fit everyone into this studio apartment.:D

Well, those who judge my physical body are discerning that I'm fat, so yes.

But, those who judge me as a drain on the system or a piece of shit who has no strength or will power, NO. They can continue to judge, though. They were taught to do that. I'll stick around because eventually they're going to need my help. I'm angry at the ignorance put forth in this thread, but I do know the truth about my own life and I don't fit into this generalization. I just want to fight the injustice of it.

The name of the thread is why reward stupidity. What we resist, persists. We live in a world of condition.

Fair enough. I'll work on it. However I've been not rewarding this my whole life and here it is. How long do I have to wait?

I know that this sounds silly but infinite patience brings immediate results, that means when we let it go it is gone. Ignorant people are not ignorant because they don't know the truth. We can only be ignorant if there is an awareness that is ignored. It is ignored because people prefer the problem. They prefer the problem because the solution means that they must change and that is fearful if you've long been ignoring the truth.

I'd love to rep you for this insightful post, but it says I can't, so head it is!!:D

Though, the fact that you're saying ignorance is chosen doesn't make me feel THAT much better.

Off to the dentist to drain the healthcare system some more.

I don't remember implying that. If that's what you want to take away from the thread so be it. Again, we find only that which we're looking for. God forbid someone express distaste for inaccurate judgment.

That's a good way of looking at it. It also explains why many choose the victim role. One feels a victim if they're told it is them who should change rather than some external representative of our moral standards as a whole.

to call someone "stupid" is to imply (if not outright accuse) that they are living a lifestyle and/or be incapable of making decisions that you feel you cannot accept and live alongside... publically airing your opinions on others gives me the impression that you would like to change either the individuals, or how society treats them

Of course I would love to change the way society unfairly treats people. What's wrong with that? However society starts with the individual. It would be nice to see people change their minds and personal biases.

I said stupidity. I'm not sure that I specifically called anyone stupid.

Would you not agree that this is sheer stupidity? ^^^ Yet it is legally justified because of the victim role this woman took. Some may feel it's only right considering McDonalds "made" her overweight.

I'm curious lunaverse, is this a cash reward your talking about? If it is, well I'm broke and submit the following as my entry in this contest.

My solution to all the worlds problems

First we round up all the fatty's, cigarette smokers, alcohol drinkers and drug addicts.
Oh, and lets not forget the hippies. We set them all up on some "camp" where we force feed them all McDonald's, make them drink Jack Daniel's laced with heroin, and smoke two packs of Lucky Strikes (non-filtered) a day. We save all their poop and pee and load that into bomb shells and drop them on all the middle east countries until the inhabitants flee from the stink of all the poop. Then all us "good, healthy" people can wait until all the poop dries up in the hot desert sun and go and just take as much oil as we need without having to deal with any messy political stuff.
While that is happening we change all the tax laws so that only the marginally good people (those who aren't' fat, drinking, cigarette smoking, drug addicts, but aren't really healthy and pretty enough to be considered one of the "healthy" group) have to work and pay taxes. Then the healthy people will have more time to work on their tans and get pedicures.
We keep doing this while we force the "smart" people to build special nuclear weapon ray guns.
Then after that we make the smart people build huge neon signs that say "FREE PEOPLE! GET YOUR HUMANS RIGHT HERE!" that are bright enough to be seen from space.
Then on December 20 2012 we light the signs and charge up the nuclear ray guns. Then on December 21 when the aliens come to enslave humanity they will see the signs and go to the camp for the free humans. After they load all the drunk, drug addicted fatty's into their flying saucers they will be so weighted down they won't be able to lift off. That's when we blow them up with our nuclear ray guns.
There you have it, I just solved the overpopulation problem, middle east conflicts and protected the planet from alien invaders with my simple yet absolutely ingenius plan.
    :)

So do you think I have a chance to win the cash reward!!??
    I hope,I hope,I hope,I hope,I hope,I hope,I hope,I hope,I hope,I hope!!

p.s. I prefer cash, but will also accept Walmart gift cards.;)

All I win is a Bill Hicks? I already got one of those in my closet:(

As I was reading through the responses that were made since my last venture into this thread, one thought kept popping into my mind,
"Outside of our perceptions and interpretations' it's all neutral."
We supply any "goodness" or "badness" to all we encounter.
My teenage daughters are starting to get annoyed with me big time because every day I remind them that each day is a neutral blank slate, it's up to them what they draw on it and what colors they use. It is always in your power to decide how you will interpret and perceive the world. Events are completely neutral and each event has positive and negative ramifications, it just depends on your perspective and how far outside of your self your willing to go to see them.

Hopefully it will sink in and stick with them as they grow and encounter the world.:)
After all it is just a ride, you gonna scream and cry like a little wimp, or are you gonna throw your hands up and hoot and holler about how exhilarating it all is?

it'd be even nicer to leave people alone and let them live how they wanna

someone found a way to become obese and discovered a way to make it pay? that ain't stupidity, that's fookin' genius ... since when in the history of humanity hasn't it been our ambition to be fat and wealthy?

Of course people can live however they want. Nobody's saying they can't. However people are allowed to speak up when they see something they don't like. We see or hear something immoral and we respond. It's human nature.

Clearly you and I are at two differnt ends of the moral compass.

That's some solid advice to give your daughters. I wish someone had taught me that when I was younger. They may not like it, but just keep driving it home :D

Except this would probably be a little more accurate
