Why do you think Herb should be legalized?

True, but do you think having it completely legal is even possible at this point? I believe in prohibition, i wouldnt want my 5 year old playing a stick of uranium and i wouldnt want him smoking pot either. i think your brain needs to develop to a certain age before it can process the true essence of marijuana. so i think that would actually be more of a cultural thing than anything, sort of like a rite of passage.

 

personally i think pot should be legal. as others said alcohol and nicotine are legal and they cause many more deaths. yes it is a gateway drug. is alcohol considered a gateway drug? i think its gateway drug status has more to do with the fact that it is illegal and fits in the "illegal drug" category. very very few people try "harder" drugs with out first tring marijuana and/or alcohol. our goverment is making money. if it is legal they will make more. plain and simple. in reality none of that matters. who cares who is smoking some weed? honestly. opiates cocaine and crack that is what needs the focus and people seem to over look it. i graduated in 2003 from a class of maybe 200 and now over 15% are junkies. that is too many. and they still tring to bust people for an half. its rediculous.

 

I think it should be legalized so responsible adults will stop being punished for using it. Also I think the tax dollars could help several things in jeopardy in our economy. And so what if we cant smoke it yet, we would eventually be able to when we were older and not have to worry about goin to jail for a long time. My two cents.

ummm... lets see.... NO ONE HAS DIED FROM IT! That kinda makes me think its not that dangerous. It might not be 100% harmless, but what is in life? People are mighty quick to shove double bacon cheeseburgers down their throats or breathe in the shitty poluted air in the city all their lives, certainly those things are not healthy.

even it is harmful ITS MY FUCKING BODY! Who owns me? I own me! If I want to jump off a bridge and kill myself, I can fucking do it. I hold the right to hurt and kill myself anyway I like. Its my body and you can't tell me what I'm allowed to put in it and what I'm not allowed to put in it.

that and the fact that prohibiting pot is COMPLETELY UNCONSTITUTIONAL. Why are we being ruled by a government that doesn't even follow its own rules? Government is completely out of line and out of control now more than ever. The very backbone of what americans fought and died for in this country is being ignored and corrupted, unless the only true american ideal is one of greed, in which case the current government is continuing strong in all american ideals...

So those are just a few reasons why it should be legal.

ok, marijuana should definitely be legalized. i just wrote a six page research paper on it and i could go on forever, but i'll pull out one thing that i thought was interesting

if the government legalized marijuana and taxed it the way we tax ciggs and alcohol, then we would be make 6.2 billion dollars a year. WE would also be saving 7.7 billion, so basically if grass were legal we would be 13.9 billion dollars richer and that is definitely a good thing

 

well if nothing else works, somebody needs to start a religion where using marijuana is a normal thing and since in the constitution it states that you may have freedom of religion, if they try to stop us we can pull the religion card on their asses

I wish the government would legalize it, tax it, and let private businesses provide and sell cannabis. The companies could sell: (additive-free) spliffs by the packs and cartons, selling them by THC potency grades mids, dank, funk; they could sell blunts (hand rolled or machine made); they could sell green dragon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_Dragon); they could sell accessories, merchandise, foods with cannabis baked in them...

Legalizing cannabis would do wonders for America! Jobs would be created, industries would open up, the earth's soil would benefit, businesses of many industries would profit and benefit, all America needs to do is become informed about cannabis and take action.
